Summary
r2p delivered a comprehensive onboard CCTV solution for 422 city buses in Germany, providing a major public transport operator with a reliable video surveillance infrastructure across its fleet.
The project covered the entire implementation process, from supplying the required hardware and software to installing and commissioning the systems directly in the vehicles. Over a period of four and a half years, the fleet was equipped step by step, ensuring a consistent CCTV setup across all 422 buses.
Each vehicle was fitted with compact video recording technology, analogue cameras and a dedicated driver monitor, enabling onboard video surveillance and providing drivers with access to camera images.
A key aspect of the project was r2p’s responsibility for the complete installation and commissioning process. By combining hardware supply with hands-on system integration, r2p provided a comprehensive solution tailored to the operational requirements of a large urban bus fleet.
