Summary
r2p is supplying an integrated CCTV and remote maintenance solution for 286 new single-deck regional trains in Switzerland, supporting the modernisation of the country’s regional rail network with advanced onboard camera technology and remote management capabilities.
The project involves equipping a new generation of regional trains with a comprehensive video surveillance solution covering both passenger interiors and exterior areas. Combining PoE-based interior cameras, robust exterior cameras and our Horizon Remote software, the system is designed to provide consistent CCTV technology and efficient remote maintenance across the fleet.
As part of a multi-year production programme, r2p supplies the camera systems and software directly to the train manufacturer, ensuring their integration into the vehicles during production. The project extends from 2022 to 2027, requiring reliable coordination and consistent delivery throughout the series production process.
HORIZON Remote enables remote maintenance and management of the onboard video systems, helping operators simplify technical support and reduce the need for on-site interventions.
With dedicated project management and a standardised CCTV configuration across all 286 trains, r2p supports the implementation of a scalable video surveillance infrastructure designed for modern regional rail operations.
